)per)cursos was the online journal of LEME, where the participants published their ideas and findings after 6 months of research and weekly meetings. The website had to keep the LEME visual identity, but also bring in some different artistic elements as the group often used art as inspiration for their discussions and as a method of thinking about education.
One of the challenges in making this design was finding appropriate visual metaphors to represent the way a school is structured. During the meetings, the participants tried to come up with visual alternatives to represent the usual box grid pattern that most schools are built around. I decided to use fabric prints because they display dynamic patterns that are literally and figuratively “outside the box”.
