Melbourne Snorkelling Adventures provided snorkelling tours to popular beaches along Port Phillip Bay in Australia, which means the design needed to be both informative and fun. I chose a horizontally scrolling layout because it not only fits with the visual language of the service (the horizon, the ocean floor, and the beach all come to mind, and are all distinctly horizontal) but because it was an unconventional design at the time, which is more likely to engage the visitor and create a sense of “fun” by doing things differently. I also chose bright bold colors that fit within the nautical theme.
